Registration ends for Little League this Sat., March 1

Registration for the Washington- Wilkes Little League 2008 program runs through Saturday, March 1.

The program is for boys and girls baseball and also includes girls softball. The boys and girls baseball ages are fivethrough 15 years old, and girls softball is for nine through 16 years old.

Participants may register at the Ashley Park officeThursdays and Fridays, 4:30-7:00 p.m.; and Saturdays, 10 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Payment is due with registration. The fee for all ages is $35.00. There will be late registration Thursday and Friday, March 6-7, with a late charge of $10.00 for each child.

Tryouts are set for Saturday, March 8. Minor League baseball tryouts, ages 9-10, will be from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., on field 1; and girls softball, ages 9-12 tryouts will be 10 a.m.-12 p.m., on field 2.

The Major League baseball tryouts, ages 11-12, will be from 12 p.m.-2 p.m. on field 1; and senior girls softball, ages 13-16, will be from 12 p.m.-2:00 p.m. on field 2.
