Lindsey's exclusive recording featured on Clover Country to be released Tue.
The National 4-H Council has partnered with EMI Music to create Clover Country: Songs from Famous 4-H Alumni - the first-of-its-kind country music compilation CD featuring famous 4-H alumni. "This extraordinary blend of country music showcases the benefits of 4-H through talented 4-H alumni," according to its promoters. Proceeds from each CD sold supports 4-H programs and millions of youth across America. Clover Country features Grammy winning song writer, Hillary Lindsey's "The Clown," which Lindsey exclusively recorded for the album. The CD also includes hit songs from country music mega stars and 4-H alumni Sugarland, Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Faith Hill,
The CD will be released March 25 and is available on the website at www. clovercountrycd.com, through www.4-hmall. org, on Amazon.com, at select retail outlets, and participating state and county 4-H offices. "The Clown" was produced by Loren Harriet and features top Nashville musicians including Eddie Bayers, Michael Rhodes, Brent Mason, and Steve Nathan. In addition, "The Clown" will be available on iTunes as a digital download and ringtune, with proceeds also going to benefit 4-H. The Clover Country project first came to fruition when 4-H internal representatives recognized that many 4-H alumni were high profilecountry artists, who were interested in continuing to show their support for 4-H. Clover Country was specificallyconceived to include recording artists with a 4-H background. "I was involved in every aspect of 4-H, I loved it with all my heart", said Reba McEntire, whose song "You're Gonna Be" is included on the compilation.
