Silver Streaks enjoy fellowship at First Baptist
The Silver Streaks of First Baptist Church enjoyed a cookout and game night fellowship Saturday night, March 15, in the Mary Callaway Burton Fellowship Hall.

A late afternoon power outage and severe weather didn't dampen the spirits of those who braved the storms for an evening of food and fun.

Tables were decorated with festive ceramic and painted rabbits nestled in Easter grass with other chocolate eggs for accent and munching.

John Webster, chairman of the seniors committee, welcomed everyone and offered the blessing before a dinner of grilled hamburgers with delicious accompaniments, baked beans, potato salad, and chips topped off with banana pudding, chocolate chip pound cake, fresh coconut cake, brownies, tea and coffee.

After dinner the group enjoyed numerous games set up around the fellowship hall.

Attending were Travis Armour, Bettye Rhodes, W.C. and Cheryl Bentley, Mary Ann Bentley, Bill and Teresa Bishop, Margaret Conner, Thomas Fanning, Mary Donna Lunceford, Ed and Roberta George, Bill and Jackie Gillispie, Andrew and Pat Grimaud, Edythe McCall, Pug and Kay Nelms, Gene and Joanne Pollock, Edward and Susan Pope, Betty Reese, Ed and June Smith, John and Linda Webster, Tom and Melanie Wells, Norma Hopkins, Doug and Jerri Ann Stewart, Rosemary Hopkins, Willard Lance, Mary Burt, Lila Edwards, Mabel Johnson, Jerry Stover and Martin Burgess.
