Whitney James, Jacob Richards feted at shower

Whitney James and Jacob Richards, whose wedding is planned for March 29, were honored at a couples shower and bonfireSaturday evening, March 15, at the home of the bride's parents, Addison and Patti James, on Stoney Ridge Road. Hostesses for the festive event were the bride-elect's sister and maid of honor, Hailey James, and friend, Meghan Arnold of Washington.

For the casual evening, the brideelect chose dark navy jeans and a pink top covered in white polka dots. She was presented a corsage of white daisies.

Guests gathered around the bonfire for an evening of fun and music was provided by DJ T. J. Bunch.

A delicious assortment of heavy hors d'oeuvres was enjoyed.

The buffet table was centered with a pink rain boot filled with white daisies. This arrangement was presented the bride-elect as well as a set of bed linens from the hostesses.

About 50 guests attended.
