Iris Garden Club members travel to Camellia Day

Several members of the Iris Garden Club of Washington were in Thomson Wednesday, March 5, to attend the Camellia Day luncheon at Thomson Presbyterian Church.

Tables for the occasion were centered with brandy snifters of floating camellia blossoms with other blossoms about the tables.

After the luncheon course, appraiser, Martha Lyons of Augusta, presented the program. Many brought items to be appraised. Mrs. Lyons encouraged all present to take pictures of each room in their homes noting all the contents and to have up-to-date insurance for replacements in case of theft or fire.

Those attending from the Iris Garden Club included Anna Gunter, Oleta McAvoy, Catherine Hessert, Mary Ann Bentley, Marcia Paxton, Norma Hopkins, Laura Toburen, Debbie Holes and Rachel Arnold.
