Turkey caller takes the prize
World-class turkey caller Jeff Murphy added another championship to his list of accomplishements when he won the U.S. Open Qualifier Championship held earlier this month in Atlanta. Murphy, representing Custom Camo Gold and Talkn Sticks Pro, posted a score of 219 to win the event for the third time. The win gives him a "free pass" to the U.S. Open to be held in Nashville, Tenn., in May. It also qualifies him for the Grand National competition to be held in 2009. Also this year, Murphy placed third at the Grand Nationals and third at the Peach State Classic in Columbus.
