Little League Day to be held at Ashley Park March 29 at 10

The Annual Washington-Wilkes Little League Day has been scheduled for Saturday, March 29, beginning at 10 a.m. at Ashley Park.

This year's day is going to be a little different. Instead of having the parade, everyone will meet at Ashley Park with their teams and play exhibition games throughout the day.

There will also be the ever-popular home run derby in baseball and softball, raffle for door prizes, and various concessions.

Any vendors or civic organizations that would like to set up a booth for the day are asked to contact Tommy Saggus or Allison Rogers for more information.

This is a major fund-raiser for Little League to help with equipment and maintaining the facility and grounds so everyone is encouraged to come out for a day of family fun and games.
