Augusta IRS officewill be open Sat. to offer assistance

The Internal Revenue Service's Augusta officewill be one of more than 300 IRS locations opening their doors for "Super Saturday," a

Below 15, 2008. nationwide event to help people filea tax return in order to receive their Economic Stimulus Payment.

IRS personnel will be on hand to answer questions about the Economic Stimulus payments and filetax returns, which you must do in order to receive a stimulus payment.

Community organizations are also participating in Super Saturday by sponsoring tax preparation sites where people can receive tax assistance at no charge as part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and Tax Counseling for the Elderly programs.
