Kibbeys add a classic touch to Spring Street building
Comissioned by Richard and Dana Kibbey, artist Brent Chitwood puts the finishing touches on a new Spring Street mural Saturday. The "Gone With The Wind" movie poster advertises Retro Cinema and Books, a new business started by the Kibbeys. Chitwood, a Royston native proud to be related to Ty Cobb, does artistic decorative painting, trompe l'oeil and faux painting, along with murals and commissioned art. "I've always loved Washington, and I was so happy when the Kibbeys commissioned me to do this." More of Chitwood's art is available at his website, www.rembrent.net.
