Epp Wilson guest speaker at NSDAR meeting March 17

Epp Wilson of Thomson was guest speaker at the Kettle Creek Chapter NSDAR luncheon meeting Monday, March 17, at the Washington Woman's Club.

Mr. Wilson, introduced by Oleta McAvoy, spoke on The Rock House and some of the history of Wrightsboro. He presented the Chapter with the book, "History of McDuffie County, Georgia," compiled by Mrs. W.C. McCommons and Miss Clara Stovall.In addition, Mr. Wilson gave each member a pamphlet entitled "The Story of Wrightsboro 1768-1964".

Patsy Bailey read the National Defense Minute.

Nina Albea asked that if anyone who would like to purchase a birthday gift, such as a game or toy, for a child at Tammassee, she would deliver the gifts along with any clothing donations. She requested the gift be wrapped and noted by age and sex.

Other business was conducted before the meeting was adjourned.
