Katie Grant entertained at drop-in bridal shower Saturday, March 22

Katie Grant of Nashville, Tenn., bride-elect of Ryan Warren of Stephenville, Tex., was feted at a drop-in bridal shower Saturday, March 22, given by Debbie Barnett, Beth Bunch, Ashley Cox, Alice Lindsey, Mary Donna Lunceford, Kathy Poss, Mable Tucker and Joan Geddings at the Geddings home in Logan Woods.

Miss Grant was presented a corsage of sweetheart roses to complement her gold and black floral empire-style dress.

Guests were greeted as they arrived and invited to sign the guest register placed on a table overlaid with a white crochet bordered cover. A bride doll also decorated the table.

A beautiful burgundy and pink silk arrangement centered the dining table that was covered in Belgium lace. From the table guests enjoyed chicken salad in timbales, heartshaped tomato sandwiches, fruit, lemons squares, brownies, sandies, cheese straws, nuts and punch.

The hostesses presented the brideelect the hostess set, serving set and two place settings of her chosen stainless flatware.

Ninety guests were invited. Special guests attending included Miss Grant's mother, Melissa Grant of Washington; the prospective bridegroom's mother, Rosa Warren of Stephenville, Tex.; also the brideelect's sister, Liz Grant of Macon; grandmothers, Willene Grant of Elberton and Betty Seymour of Bowman, aunt, Anna Jones, and cousins, Judy Davis, Devon Davis and Brenda Starret, all of Elberton.
