Kimberly Ann Wylie

Funeral services for Minister Kimberly Ann Wylie, 43, of Washington were held Saturday, March 29, 2008, at Springfield Baptist Church with Bishop Jerry F. Hutchins officiating. Interment was in City West Cemetery. She died Monday, March 24, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta.

Minister Wylie was a native of Wilkes County and was the daughter of Betty Wylie and the late John Henry Wylie. She was a 1983 graduate of Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School. While a member of the Timothy Baptist Church she was called into the ministry and became a licensed minister on February 5, 2006.

Survivors include four sons, Dontidius Wylie, Barry Wylie, Markeith Wylie, and Dankeis Wylie, all of Washington; her mother, Betty Wylie of Washington; a grandson, Jaylen Wylie of Washington; a sister, Susie Johnson of Athens; and two brothers, Gregory Harris of Hull, and John Henry Wylie Jr. of Washington.

Pallbearers were elders and ministers of Timothy Baptist Church, Athens.

Davenport-McLendon Mortuary Inc. of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
