After the children gathered at the altar for their message by Pastor Jim Newsome they went down to the annex with Trey Berry for Children's Church.

Pastor Newsome highly praised these young people for their leadership and performance with many items with many amens from the audience. Everyone present was mighty proud of them.

The message by the pastor was "Knowing God's Word." He challenged everyone present to spend 15 minutes a day for the next 30 days in God's Word. He recommended starting in Mark because it is a short chapter. He named several types of Bibles that are easier to understand. It was a good and informative message for the youth and everyone present.

The Lord's Supper was served by the deacons of the church. A good service was also held Sunday evening with the pastor bringing the message. You are invited to come to Sunday School at 10 a.m., worship service at 11 a.m., and Sunday evening service at 7 p.m. every Sunday. Prayer meeting for Sardis Church is held every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the Echols Home. Sunday School is also held on Sunday mornings at the Echols Home at 10 a.m. with Nina Boatwright as teacher.
