The Lincoln-Wilkes Retired Educators Association (LWREA) will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10, at the Lincoln County Library, 181 Peachtree Street. All retired educators are invited to attend.

Concerned Citizens of Wilkes County will meet Tuesday, April 15, at the Mary Willis Library at 7 p.m.

On April 14, Learning in Retirement offers "Writing About Your Life," an enjoyable course on getting interesting stories from life on paper, just for fun or for others -- children, grandchildren, etc. Peggy Barnett will guide the program at the Mary Willis Library, 2 p.m. Guests are welcome. There will be refreshments.

The Wilkes County Board of Health will meet Friday, April 25, 11 a.m., at the Health Department on Gordon Street.

The Class of 1988 will have a meeting Sunday, April 13, 5 p.m., at the home of Stephanie Walton, 312 Lexington Avenue, Sessoms Place Apartments. The group will be discussing the class reunion.

The Lincolnton, Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the 14th annual Southern gospel night Wednesday, April 30, 7 p.m., at Elijah Clark State Park. Local choirs, soloists, and groups will take the stage with Little Roy Lewis of the Lewis family and Lizzie Long as emcees. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the evening. The concert is free.
