GSP investigates traffic accidents

State Troopers from the Washington Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated 14 traffic crashes during the month of March in Wilkes County. The traffic crashes resulted in 17 injuries. There were no deaths.

SFC Andrews said troopers from Post 17 also issued 163 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes nine arrests for driving under the influence; 64 citations for speeding; 32 seat belt violations; and nine child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 245 warnings.
