Musical 'I Do! I Do!' now in rehearsal for Playhouse presentation May 8-11

Following the blockbuster run of Fiddler On the Roof this past weekend, the stage at the Bolton Lunceford Playhouse will not get a rest.

Rehearsals for the musical comedy, I Do! I Do!, have begun and the play will be presented May 8, 9, and 10, at 8 p.m.; and May 11 at 3 p.m.

Gail and Tom Duggan, both veterans of the Little Theater stage, will star in the musical version of The Fourposter by Jan de Hartog.

The play begins with the marriage of Agnes and Michael and follows them through the good times and not so good times of married life. The hilarious songs, "When the Kids Get Married" and "My Daughter Is Marrying an Idiot" are balanced by the beautiful "My Cup Runneth Over With Love."

Costumes from the Victorian period, through the "Flapper" era, on up to the 1940s add to the authenticity of the story line. Leneau Cason, the able costumer, is creating fantastic outfitsfor Agnes, and Scarborough's is helping outfit Michael. Paula Walker is expertly designing hair styles for the two actors.

Since the play is being presented on Mother's Day weekend the Little Theater is offering a special for Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11. It's "Bring Your Mama Day." If you bring your Mama, she gets in free!
