Fifth graders appreciate agriculture
In observance of Ag Awareness Week in Georgia, fifth grade science teacher Peggy Jones partnered with the Wilkes County Young Farmer program to ehlp students become aware of local agriculture and its impact on our community and state. Dairy owner Jeff Smith (top photo) and Young Farmer advisor Eric Holton (bottom photo) conducted tours and provided information as all fifth graders toured the Smith Dairy Farm in Rayle.
