Larry Gail Maxwell Funeral services for Larry Gail Maxwell, 61, of 981 Beaverdam Road, Washington, were held Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at the Beaverdam Baptist Church. Interment was in the church cemetery. He died Sunday, April 6, at his home. Mr. Maxwell was a native of Wilkes County and had lived here all his life. He was the son of the late John R. Maxwell and Susie Kennedy Maxwell. He worked as a night watchman at Wood Specialty, and was a member of the Beaverdam Baptist Church. Survivors include three sisters, Elizabeth Norman of Lincolnton, Christine Young and Della Holstein of Washington. Pallbearers included Len Hardy, Ricky Maxwell, Kerry McAvoy, Kerry McAvoy Jr., H.N. Kennedy, and Donnie Maxwell. Memorial contributions may be made to the Beaverdam Baptist Church, c/o Richard Maxwell, 868 Beaverdam Rd., Washington 30673.
Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
