Thanks for help with Clark benefit

TO THE EDITOR:

Our thanks is extended to many who prepared food, donated it, helped serve, and paid the six dollars for a wonderful all-you-can-eat meal at Fishing Creek Baptist Church on Saturday evening, March 29, and enjoyed a good gospel group in concert.

All the proceeds went to Tubby Clark and his wife who lost their house trailer and all contents in a fire.

The Christian Service Organization of Fishing Creek Baptist Church has a long history of raising funds to help people needing help due to sickness or natural disasters.

This project was special in that the group, Mountain Joy, from Waynesville, N.C., came to sing at no charge. The love offering that was taken up was also given to Tubby.

It is a blessing to see people join together to help those in need.

We also thank all the people who came to the supper and supported this event.
