The ceremony was held at two o'clock in the afternoon in Washington at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. This location held special meaning for the bride as her parents had also been married at Mt. The bridegroom is the son of Mike and Nicole Hartley of Evans.

Ferns adorned the altar. A memorial chair, wrapped in white netting and centered with a white rose, was placed in the altar area in memory of the bride's mother. Family pews were marked with white roses and pink hydrangeas. The unity candle was used in the ceremony. Lighting the candles were fathers of the couple, Mike Hartley and Larry Jordan.

A program of wedding music was presented by Russell Goldman of Washington who also played for the bride's parents' wedding. Selections included "Canon in D" for the wedding party processional and "The Wedding March" for the bride's entry.

Usher-groomsmen were Jamie Jordan of Washington, brother of the bride, David Bernstein of Naperville, Ill., and Lanny Lightfoot of Buford.

Bridesmaids were Stephanie Hartley of Macon, sister of the bridegroom; Nicole Anderson of Enamclaw, Wash.; and Jessica Berry of Athens. Their off-the-shoulder sleeveless marine blue faille ballgowns featured ruched criss-cross bodices. They carried nosegays of pink roses wrapped in pink ribbon and studded with pink and lighter pink pearl-headed pins.

Sabrina Jordan of Washington, niece of the bride, served as flower girl and carried an ivory satin basket of ivory rose petals.

Nephew of the bride, Parker Jordan of Washington, served as ring bearer.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was radiant in her ivory strapless gown fashioned with a beaded lace corsette bodice and pick up skirt that ended in a chapel train.

Her ivory fingertip-length twotiered veil was edged in ivory satin.

She carried a bouquet of ivory roses wrapped in ivory ribbon and studded with decorative ivorytipped pins.

Completing her ensemble was her mother's pearl necklace.

The bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Hartley, chose for the wedding a mossy green floor-length pencil skirt dress and matching tapestry and beaded jacket. Complementing her attire was a purple-throated orchid.

Reception

Following the ceremony the bridal couple entertained their guests at a reception in the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church in Washington.

As guests entered the hall, they registered in the bride's book placed on a square table overlaid with an ivory cloth and decorated with an arrangement of blue spring flowers.

The bride's table, covered with an ivory cloth, was decorated with the bride's bouquet of ivory roses and ivory candles in silver candleholders. Serving the cake was Lynn Farmer of Macon, aunt of the bridegroom.

Another table, also covered in an ivory cloth, held the bridegroom's cake, a two-tiered round layered confection also done in navy blue designs. The bridegroom's monogram was shown on the top layer. This cake was served by the bridegroom's aunt, Michelle Prevot of Tours, France.
