Family Trail Ride at Aonia Pass on May 6 will benefit Dream House for Children The fifth annual off-road Family Fun Trail Ride for riders of offroad motorcycles and ATVs is set for May 6 at Aonia Pass Off-Road Park. Registration will open at 8 a.m. on Sunday, May 6, for the event, which benefits the Dream House for Medically Fragile Children, a 501c(3) non-profit corporation headquartered in Lilburn, Georgia. The Dream House for Medically Fragile Children is committed to saving medically fragile children from an institutional existence or abusive situations, and to providing a therapeutic, family-centered home where they can live and grow. The Family Fun Trail Ride is for riders of off-road motorcycles and ATVs. Riders must be at least 6 years old. Riders under age 18 must have a parent present to sign a liability waiver. Riders raise funds for the Dream House as they ride, and any rider raising more than $150 may register for a chance to win a Yamaha TTR- 50E dirt bike. Other fundraising amounts will earn t-shirts, caps, and other prizes. A minimum donation of $35 is required for each rider.
Donations raised will be used to support the operation of the home, and riders can ask their friends and neighbors for a donation to help the children. Registered riders will have access to the woods trails and children's beginner track, as well as free coffee, juice and pastries in the morning and free lunch for all registered riders.
