Special ceremony remembers Truitt

Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) conducted a ceremony for Revolutionary War Patriot Pumal Truitt in Wilkes County at 3346 Scull Shoals Road, on April 12. Purnal Truitt was an ancestor of J. Michael Tomme, a member of the Marquis de Lafayette SAR chapter. The ceremony consisted of a biography of the life of Truitt, laying of wreaths, recognition of each chapter that attended, and recognition of dignitaries.
