John T. Martin Graveside services for John T. Martin, 69, of Lincolnton were held Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at Hephzibah Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Allen Danner officiating. He died Sunday, April 13, at his home. Mr. Martin was a native of Wilkes County and was the son of the late John B. and Tinnie Keeter Martin. He had lived in Lincoln County most of his life and was a retired heavy equipment mechanic and operator. He retired from Martin Trucking. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Hall Martin; a daughter, Donna M. Bishop and her husband Raymond of Blythewood, S.C.; two sons, Tommy Martin and his wife Winnie of Lincolnton, and Mike Martin; four grandchildren, Emily Martin, Trent Martin, Keri Bishop, and Price Rogers. Pallbearers included Allen Bunch, Bobby Callaway, Charles Chastain, Albert Crook, Donald Dunaway, Raleigh Long Jr., Jerry Maloof, and Barney Zellars.
Beggs Funeral Home of Lincolnton was in charge of arrangements.
