Ashley Guin Henderson guest of honor at baby shower March 15

Ashley Guin Henderson of Peoria, Ill., was guest of honor at a baby shower on Saturday afternoon, March 15, at the Danburg Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Hostesses for the occasion were the ladies of the church.

In honor of the occasion Mrs. Henderson was presented a corsage of white daisies accented with a baby rattler.

As guests arrived, they signed the register at a table decorated with a white cloth and a silk arrangement to be used later in the baby's nursery.

The refreshment table, covered in white with a mint green organza overlay, was centered with a lovely assortment of spring flowers consisting of light blue delphinium, white gerbera daisies, rubrum lilies, chrysanthemums and snapdragons.

Guests enjoyed a delicious assortment of party foods that included pimento cheese sandwiches, cheese straws, vegetables and dip, pecan sandies, and baby shower party cake, that was made and decorated by Mrs. Henderson's friend, Shanon Rentz of Lincolnton.

Fifty guests were invited. Special guests were prospective grandmothers, Sherry DuBois of Tignall and Maudine Guin and Tommie Henderson of Lincolnton.
