Prom, Senior Walk set for Saturday eve at The Pope Center

With a theme of "A Midnight Masquerade" the 2008 Washington- Wilkes Comprehensive High School Junior-Senior Prom will be held Saturday night at The Pope Center.

A highlight of the evening will be the traditional Senior Walk. This year, the Senior Walk will be held outside The Pope Center at 9 p.m. with bleachers set up for parents and friends, Principal Steve Echols said, to see their seniors introduced.

"We're setting up seating and the public is invited," he said, "to come see the Seniors show off their attire as we introduce them."

The prom begins at 8 p.m. and ends at midnight.
