Wilsbary's sale set on library lawn to begin May 2 at 10

The Mary Willis Library will host another Wilsbary's Book, Bake, and Plant Sale on Friday, May 2.

The sale will open at 10 a.m. on the lawn of the library at 204 East Liberty Street and will continue until all the goodies have been purchased, usually about 1 p.m.

Throughout the county, volunteers are digging and potting plants, baking treats, and boxing books, all to make the sales day extra special.

Profitswill be used to support the Summer Reading Program, to purchase new materials, and to sponsor speakers, exhibits, and cultural activities. Anyone who can help by donating plants, baked goods, or books, should contact the library at 706-678-7736.

On Thursday, May 8, the Friends of the Library will meet in the meeting room of the library at 3 p.m. A program on Mark Twain will be presented by Lisa Luken and will feature her father's celebrated Mark Twain impersonations.

A DVD presentation will be incorporated into the program. All visitors are welcome and encouraged to join Friends and support the work of the library.
