Tignall Homemakers will buy fan, track lighting for museum

The Tignall Homemakers met Thursday, April 17, in the North Wilkes Library with Celeste Adams presiding. Edna Lamar gave the devotional with the theme of "The Open Door."

Jane Roberson gave the Sunshine report. Members were pleased to hear that Dr. Sophia Bamford is home from the hospital and doing well.

The club voted to buy a ceiling fan for the refreshment room and track lighting to illuminate the framed Indian posters for the museum. The treasurer, Linda Burns, was appointed to make these purchases.

The program was presented by Ben Long, our Tignall Bluebird house expert who showed how to build the houses and advised on the best places to put them to keep the precious eggs and nestlings safe from predators such as snakes.

Delicious refreshments were served by Billie Carroll, Beverly Johnson, and Louise Harper.

Those present were Celeste Adams, Sarah Pelot, Elaine Boiter, Sherri Bowers, Evelyn Bunch, Linda Burns, Fay Butler, Paula Butts, Billie Carroll, Becky Dixon, Louise Harper, Beverly Johnson, Sally Kennedy, Edna Lamar, Jackie Long, Pat Mack, Edna Rhodes, Jane Roberson, Louise Smith, and Mary Webster.
