Lula Mae Edwards

A celebration of the life of Lula Mae Edwards, 90, formerly of Washington, was held Saturday, April 19, 2008, at the New Salem Baptist Church, Washington, with Pastor Robert L. Reynolds officiating and Pastor James L. Henderson of New St. John Baptist Church, Atlanta, as eulogist.

Survivors include six children, Essie Royal, Lugene Watson, Doretha Champion, Felix Edwards III, Welborn Edwards, and Anne Randolph Howard, Decatur; a sister, Roberta Brown, College Park; a brother, Welborn Avery, of Washington, and Anne Randolph of Decatur; a sister, Roberta Brown of College Park; 47 grandchildren; 71 greatgrandchildren; and 15 great-greatgrandchildren.
