Cook Motor, Atlanta Braves aid W-W Little League for '08

Washington-Wilkes Little League has teamed with Cook Chevrolet Motor Company in Crawford and the Atlanta Braves this year to add more excitement and fund-raising opportunities for the local league.

Getting the winning season started was Bobby Wall, who won the grand prize at Little League Day which was four tickets to opening day with the Braves and also a tailgate party before the game.

The Bulldogs Mighty Mites team was presented with tickets to the Braves vs. Dodgers game Sunday, April 20, for selling the most raffle tickets for Little League Day. The Braves hit two homeruns that day and since they ended up winning the game also, Washington-Wilkes Little League will be presented a check for $1,000 thru Cook Motor Company. The Bulldogs team is sponsored by Colonial Builders Supply and coached by Craig Gammon, Bruce Lamar, and Ryan Hite.

Washington-Wilkes Little League is also selling raffle tickets through May 9 for a chance to win a 2008 Chevy Tahoe. Tickets are $5.00 each and can be purchased from any Little League player or coach. All of the proceeds from the ticket sales will remain with Washington-Wilkes Little League For further questions or tickets, call Tommy Saggus, league president, at 706-293-4434.
