Conscious about conservation

Marvin McAvoy of the Broad River Soil and Water Conservation Commission presented books to be used in the science lab to students at Washington- Wilkes Primary School. The activities in the books are correlated to the National Education Standards and are used to expand students' knowledge of key environmental stewardship issues. This year's theme is "Water is Life." Pictured above are (front row, l-r) Dixon Caddell, Tucker McAvoy, Tad McAvoy, Carrington Tutt, (back) Dr. Rosemary Caddell, and Marvin McAvoy.
