Celebrating Georgia Cities Week

At the regular meeting of the Washington Rotary Club last Thursday, Washington's Main Street Director David Jenkins (center) introduced Paul Radford of the Georgia Municipal Association who spoke to the club about the celebration of Georgia Cities Week, during which the GMA was working to education people and school children about "what it is that cities do." He explained that cities provide their citizens with utilities, fireprotection, enterprise services, and many other services as well. He also said that the GMA's attention during the last session of the Georgia General Assembly centered around transportation issues, tax reform, and trauma care. Michael Horgan (left) was program host for the day.
