Ebenezer Baptist Church had a guest speaker Sunday. Bryan Nowak, Georgia Baptist Convention State Missionary Consultant, Research Services, spoke to us. Our pianist, Mrs. Jackie Dupree, filled in for Rhonda Roberson, who was ill. Newton Gunter placed flowers in the church after which they were taken to one of our homebound members along with a bulletin of today's services. Newton was also in charge of children's church. Sunday night, Dr. Dupree started a study titled "Casting the Vision -- Catching the Vision." There were 50 present and after the study refreshments were served. ƒLast week I visited my parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wallace in Lincoln County, several times. On Sunday I had lunch with them. My sister, Nan Goff of McCormick, S.C., and brother, Garnett Wallace, also visited. ƒPat Tuttle visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hill O'Neal of Tyrone several times last week. Mr. and Mrs. O'Neal have not been feeling well. Mrs. Sandra O'Pry of Athens spent the weekend with the O'Neals. Pat's grandson, Jacob Newsome, visited Saturday with his grandmother. ƒPeyton Standard of Lexington, S.C., spent Friday through Monday with his grandparents, Linda and Keith Standard. Bobby Ansley Jr., Sara Huff, and Bryson Taylor also visited during the weekend. ƒHeather Ansley is kind of under the weather, so we wish her a quick recovery. ƒCassie Goldman enjoyed a trip to Six Flags Saturday, going with her church group. ƒAlex Dunaway visited around in the neighborhood, calling on Linda Battle, Linda Standard, and also visited his sister, Mrs. Louise Burt in Washington. ƒBurt Newsome visited Andy Shelton in Warren County Sunday. ƒMrs. Berry Crawford of Appling spent Saturday with Mrs. Lucille Ingram. Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Ryll, Connor and Calley, and their friend, Garrett Tawzer, also visited. ƒMr. and Mrs. Richard Phillips made a business trip to Augusta Monday. Brenda's daughter Stephanie Haynes, Chip and Skyla visited Friday through Sunday with the Phillipses. ƒMr. and Mrs. Jamie Newsome and Anna of Martinez met his parents, Jim and Karan Newsome, and grandmother, Mrs. Jenelle Newsome, in Thomson Friday for dinner. Little Anna had a vision problem and is wearing glasses to help her. ƒWe were happy to hear that Christopher Charping had a good report and got to go to his senior prom Saturday night. ƒ Our prayer concerns include Jenelle Newsome, Grace Aycock, Kathleen Reed, Sanders Dallis, Elizabeth Dallis, Elaine Dallis, Warrren and Lois Nunn, Henry and Blanche Wallace, Elizabeth Dunnaway, Andrew Stringer and family, Dennis Parks, Freddie Shank, H.R. Our grandson Trace will be 19 on April 30. ƒDon't forget the Wilkes County Cancer Survivors dinner Thursday, May 1, at the Third Shiloh Center at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 1, is also the National Day of Prayer.
