The On Mission Celebration held at the First Baptist Church Saturday was very interesting. Each missionary had a booth set up with pictures and other things about their work. We enjoyed walking around and talking to each group. ƒOur speaker at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church was Lynn Davis of Berlin, Maryland. She is with the Central Atlantic Leisure Ministries under the North American Mission Board. ƒSamille and James Sherrer enjoyed the company of Lynn Davis at lunch at the Home Cafe Sunday. ƒMr. and Mrs. Ricky McCarty spent several days last week at the lake in Elbert County. ƒSue Davis suffered a fall at her home Friday. No broken bones, but sprained her ankle and had other bruises. She has been very sore. We hope she will recover soon. ƒFaye and Hannah Scoggins spent the weekend with Sue Davis. Visiting her Friday afternoon was Virginia Witcraft of Raytown. Lois Poss and Gloria Rhodes visited Saturday. ƒPam McCarty visited Mr. and Mrs. Jack Strother Saturday evening. ƒSamille and James Sherrer attended the home cooked meal at Fishing Creek Baptist Church Saturday night. It was a benefit for Frank (Junior) Turner who is very ill.

ƒMrs. Juanita Bradford and Trudy Sutherland visited Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Bradford in Thomson Sunday afternoon. ƒThe Lance family gathered at the Chinese restaurant in Greensboro last Sunday evening to celebrate the birthdays of Chris, Guy, and John. All the brothers and their sister, Sara Dees, were there. Those joining them were Judy Lance, Kirk and Kay Lance, Clarence and Lynn Lance, Willard and Sue Lance, Andrea Lance, Meredith, and Dehstiney and Tyri Smith.
