Small business seminar set for May at Athens Tech in Greene County

Local business people are invited to take part in the next installment of a seminar series for small businesses.

The second in a series of four small business seminars will be taught by Ashley Barnett, Tourism Director for Washington-Wilkes, and will take place from 6-9 p.m. on May 14 at Athens Technical College's Greene County campus. Barnett has a background in public relations and tourism marketing.

The seminar will discuss marketing strategies for small business. Small business owners looking for tips on how to maximize sales to both residents and visitors to the Lake Oconee area will benefit from this seminar. Potential entrepreneurs who may be considering opening a new business are also encouraged to attend.

Future small business classes covering topics that include sales and retail will take place from 6-9 p.m. the second Wednesday of each month continuing through July.
