Historical Foundation sets quarterly meeting for Sunday, May 4

The Washington-Wilkes Historical Foundation will hold its regular quarterly meeting Sunday, May 4, at 2:30 p.m.

The meeting will be held at the Robert Toombs Historic Site on East Robert Toombs Avenue.

Rev. Gale Seibert, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Washington, will present a program on "Real People (who happen to be Methodists) Working with God to Make a Difference in Washington- Wilkes."

All Foundation members are encouraged to attend and the general public is invited. There is no admittance charge. Light refreshments will be served.

Participants in the previous small business seminar on entrepreneur development were pleased with the first session of the series. Many positive comments were received and participants felt strongly that their questions and comments were well addressed.

A charge of $40 per course covers materials and refreshments. To register to attend the Sales Seminar on May 14, please contact the Greene County Chamber of Commerce by phone at 706-453-7592 or in person at 111 North Main Street in downtown Greensboro. The deadline for registration is Friday, May 9. Major credit cards are accepted.

The series is offered out of a partnership between Athens Technical College, Greensboro Better Hometown, and the Greene County Chamber of Commerce.
