Kiwanis district leadership to gather here this weekend

Kiwanis Lt. Governors from all 23 divisions of the Georgia District will arrive in Washington, many for the first time, on Friday, May 2. In addition to the Lt. Governors, the District Governor, Governor-Elect, Secretary-Treasurer and Kiwanis trainers will gather at The Fitzpatrick Hotel all day Saturday for a training and planning conference.

Lt. Governors will be housed at The Fitzpatrick, the Sleighter House, Wisteria Hall, and Holly Court.

While the Lt. Governors are in conference on Saturday, their spouses will receive a guided historic tour of Washington conducted by Skeet Willingham, followed by lunch at Holly Court.

Saturday evening the Lt. Governors will be hosted by The Kiwanis Club of Washington for a barbeque at the home of past Kiwanis president Kerry McAvoy and Nancy. Entertainment there will be provided by local musician Freddy Brown.

Sunday morning's activities will include a devotional by local Kiwanian Rev. Bill Boyd. Training will be complete in time for a noon departure.

Kiwanis has over 8,000 members in 185 clubs in Georgia. The primary objective of Kiwanis is the support of children - one child and one community at a time.
