April Smith feted entertained at Room-to-Room Shower April 19

April Smith, bride-elect of Jonathan Wheatley, was feted at a Roomto Room Shower Saturday, April 19, at the home of Tricia Bridges on the Newtown Road.

Entertaining with Mrs. Bridges were Donna Hardy, Angie Bridges and Kristin Stevens.

For the outdoor affair, Miss Smith chose a green and black halter sundress topped with a black cardigan. She was presented a corsage of white daisies.

A garden party theme was used in decorating and emphasized in hot pink and greens. Hot pink parasols accented party areas as well as garden flowers.

From the buffet, also enhanced in a garden party theme, guests enjoyed chocolate-cherry cake, fresh fruits, chicken salad sandwiches, cheese straws, pigs-in-a-blanket and punch.

The hostesses presented the brideelect a white decorative platter.

Miss Smith presented her hostesses thank you gifts of White Barn candles.

Thirty-fiveguests were invited. Special guests attending included the bride-elect's mother, Tanya Smith, and sister, Anna; her grandmothers, Carolyn Smith and Sara Jackson, and the prospective bridegroom's mother, Elaine Wheatley.
