Valente Fanning on N.C. high school's Principal's List

Valente Fanning, a junior at Alexander Central High School in Taylorsville, N.C., has been named to the principal's list for the second semester.

Since enrolling in the school, Valente has maintained straight A's. "He is a good student and goes beyond what is required of him," says his principal, Iva Leviner.

Valente is the son of Felicia and Willie Browner of Washington; and Bernard Starks of Stony Point, N.C. He is a former student at Washington Wilkes Comprehensive High School.
