The Miracle of Shrimp and Taters

The turnout for the 2008 Relay for Life Survivors's Dinner Thursday night was overwhelming, but somehow Joe Barnett and his helpers struggled to stretch his signature Low Country Boil recipe to fillsome 50 more folks than had RSVPed. "Somebody was praying," he said, "I think everybody got fed." Barnett has been catering the Survivors' Dinner for years, and it's popular enough to pack the Third Shiloh Center to the rafters. "I think we need a bigger place for next year's Survivor's Dinner," said Relay chairman Cathy Lannae. "This turnout is wonderful."
