Will Long announces candidacy for Wilkes Probate Judge office

Will Long has announced his candidacy for Wilkes County Probate Judge.

Donald Wilson Long Jr., who was born and raised in Wilkes County, will qualify for the nonpartisan officein June.

"I will continue to provide Wilkes County with the excellent and honest service that it has enjoyed for the last 20 years," he said. "I will ensure a fair and legitimate probate officefor all the people of Wilkes County."

The probate judge serves as Supervisor of Elections, and Long pledges to "continue to ensure impartial and efficient elections so the people of Wilkes County are heard on all issues."

Long is married to the former Amy Bennett and together they have three children, Nicholas, Bobby, and Destiny. He studied pre-law and played basketball at LaGrange College in LaGrange, Georgia.

He has successfully managed a large finance officeand continues to run Big Chick, a successful small business in Washington.
