Ga. State Patrol investigates traffic accidents in April

State Troopers from the Washington Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated 11 traffic crashes during the month of April in Wilkes County.

Sergeant First Class Andrews said the traffic crashes resulted in 13 injuries. There were no fatalities.

SFC Andrews said troopers from Post 17 also issued 101 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes four arrests for driving under the influence; 40 citations for speeding; 16 seat belt violations; and fivechild restraint violations. Troopers also issued 161 warnings.
