Fourth grade historians learn about Kettle Creek and the war

The Falling Creek Elementary School's fourth grade from Elberton attended several historical sites for their study of Georgia History and the Kettle Creek battlefield was included. Betty Slaton from the Kettle Creek Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and Larry Wilson from the Samuel Elbert Chapter Sons of the American Revolution gave descriptive lessons on the battle at Kettle Creek and the history of the battle site. The classes of Judy Banks, Kyria Wilhite, and Melanie Berryman have been studying American History and included the Revolutionary War in their lesson plans.
