Clyde Jerrell Sales Graveside services for Clyde Jerrell Sales, 82, of Crawfordville were held Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Raytown Methodist Church Cemetery with full military honors. He died Thursday, May 1, at the Tignall Assisted Living Home in Tignall. Rev. Wade Palmer officiated at the service. Mr. Sales was a native of Leicester, N.C., and was the son of the late Clyde H. and Ruth Crewman Sales. He was a self-employed farmer, a member of the Crawfordville Baptist Church, Woodmen of the World, Andrew M. Wolihin F&AM Masonic Lodge #132, and had served in the United States Navy for 33 years. Survivors include his wife, Vanilia Ann Sales; two sons and daughtersin law, Dr. Les Sales and Kim Sales, Raytown, and Mike and Teena Sales, Danielsville; two sisters, Judy Ray and Helen Sharpe, both of Leicester, N.C.; fivegrandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Members of the Wolihin F&AM Masonic Lodge #132 served as honorary pallbearers.
Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
