Terry Hawes

Funeral services for Terry "Cookie" Hawes, 54, were held Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at St. Luke Baptist Church, Lincolnton, with Rev. Alvin Rivers officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. He died Friday, August 8, at Heritage Health Care of Wilkes, Washington.

Mr. Hawes was a native of Lincoln County and the youngest son of Charlie and Letha Hawes.

Survivors include his children, Frederick Mansion of Lincolnton, Vaneeshiia Hawes of Atlanta, Terry Hawes, Nicole Willis, and Marcus Willis, all of Union Point; and a granddaughter, Briquonna Rhodes of Union Point.

Pallbearers included Marion Bell, Timothy Cullars, Delvecchio Hunter, Ricky Hunter, Roy C. Hunter, and Leverett Jenkins.

Davenport-McLendon Mortuary Inc. of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
