The Wilkes County Senior Center will be having yard sale in August. Anyone wishing to donate items may bring them to the Center at 108 Marshall Street. All proceeds from the sale will be used for bingo prizes and other projects at the Center. For further information please call 706-678-2518.

Reeves Chapel Baptist Church will have annual homecoming August 17, 11:45 a.m. Revival services will be held August 18-22, 7:30 p.m.

Pompey's Chapel Baptist Church will have homecoming Sunday, August 24, 11:30 a.m. Dinner will be served.

Beginning in September Heard's Chapel Baptist Church will have Bible study on the first and third Sundays at 6 p.m.

Heard's Chapel Baptist Church will have worship services the first Sunday of every month at 11:30 a.m., beginning the first Sunday in August.

Heard's Chapel Baptist Church will have an installation service for Pastor Paul Hull on Sunday, September 14, 3 p.m. Rev. Reginald Hunter and New Springhill Church will be in charge of the services.

Mulberry Baptist Church will have its annual revival services August 18-20, 7:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Rev. Henry Easley, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church.

Pompey's Chapel Baptist Church will have three nights of revival services August 25-27, 7:30 p.m. The guest speakers will be Rev. Lance Pitts, Monday; Rev. Bryant Ware, Tuesday; Rev. Demetrius Porter, Wednesday.

The annual Walker reunion for the descendants of Daniel Lumpkin Walker and connected families will be held at Fishing Creek Baptist Church Sunday, August 17. A covered dish dinner will be served at 1 p.m. Please bring your favorite dishes to share and also any old photos or albums to put on display. Group photos will be taken for insertion in the December issue of the newsletter.

Hilliard Station Baptist Church will have homecoming Sunday, August 17, 11:45 a.m. Pastor Dwight Foster will be the speaker. Dinner will be served.

Bethlehem Baptist Church will have homecoming Sunday, August 17, 11:30 a.m. Dinner will be served. Revival services will be held August 18-20, 7:30 p.m.

Flint Hill Baptist Church will have its 129th year anniversary celebration Sunday, September 7, 11:45 a.m.

Twin Oak Baptist Church will have homecoming Sunday, August 24, 11:45 a.m. Dinner will be served.

Pole Branch Missionary Baptist Church will have homecoming Sunday, August 24, 11:15 a.m.

Revival services will be held at the Pole Branch Missionary Baptist Church August 25-29, 7:30 p.m. The guest minister will be Rev. George L. Edwards of Thankful Baptist Church, Lincolnton.

Solomon Pool Deliverance Ministries will have revival services August 20-22, 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night's speaker will be Evangelist Blair of Thomson; Thursday, Co-Pastor Kathy Jones of Freedom Ministries, Lincolnton; and Friday night, Pastor Dennis Quinn of the First Baptist Church of Lincolnton.

Independence United Methodist Church, Tignall, will be having a healing service Sunday, August 24, 11 a.m.

The Word Bible Study Class Outreach Tent Service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 415 Lexington Avenue, Washington. All apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, preachers, and teachers of the gospel are invited to give a 5-7 minute mini-sermon.

Pleasant Grove Baptist Church will have homecoming on Sunday, August 17, at 11:30 a.m. Nightly revival services will begin at 7:30 p.m. each night, Monday through Friday, Augus6 18-22. The guest minister Sunday night will be Rev. Joe Glaze, pastor of Pole Branch Baptist Church. The guest minister Monday through Friday will be Rev. R.L. Reynolds, pastor of New Salem Baptist Church.

The Willingham and Barksdale family reunion will be held Friday, August 29, 8 p.m., beginning with an old school party in Winfield. On August 30 at 7 p.m., there will be a fish fry at the residence of Derrick and D'metric Barksdale, 4416 Thomson Hwy. There will be a dinner on Sunday, August 31, at 3 p.m. Tickets are available from family members.

Black Rock AME Church will have two nights of revival services. On Thursday, Evangelist Quanita Wilkinson from New Mercies, Lilburn, will deliver the message. Friday night, former pastor of Black Rock, Rev. Ronald Owens, New Bethel AME Church, will be the speaker.

Harvest Time Christian Center, Washington, will have revival services August 17-20 with Rev. Phil Standridge as the evangelist. Sunday services will be at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Services Monday- Wednesday will be at 7:30 p.m. For information call 706678-5555 or 706-678-2069.

There will be a Country Cooking Supper Saturday, September 6, 6-8 p.m., at Fishing Creek Baptist Church. Cost is $7.00 per plate for all you can eat. All proceeds go to charity.

The Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1036 Lexington Road, will have a Bible class on the Book of Revelation every Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m.
