Willie F. Jordan Graveside services for Willie F. Jordan, 70, will be held Saturday, August 16, 2008, at City West Cemetery, Washington, with Rev. Dennis J. Quinn officiating. He died Wednesday, August 6, at Wellstar Community Hospice at Tranquility in Austell. Mr. Jordan was a native of Wilkes County and the son of the late Mattie Combs Anderson and Fred Jordan. He also had a devoted stepfather, Clarence Anderson. He was educated in the Wilkes County Public School System. After high school, he gained interest in carpentry and soon after made a career of it. Survivors include his former wife, Carolyn Wilkinson of Tignall; three children, Elaine Jordan, Austell, Rick Jordan, Washington, D.C., Frederick Jordan, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Shaun and Shaunita of Washington, D.C.; three sisters, Mamie A. Cullars and Lovella Gartrell, of Washington, and Fannie Anthony of Newark, N.J.; two brothers, Sim Anderson, Washington, and Willie C. Anderson, Stone Mountain; eight grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild.
