Terah Young, Joshua Cannon entertained at shower Aug. 10 Engaged couple Terah Young and Joshua Cannon were honored at a miscellaneous bridal shower Sunday, August 10, in the fellowship hall of Beulah Baptist Church in Tignall. Hostesses for the occasion were great-aunt of the bride, Mrs. Cecil Rhodes; also, Mrs. Ellyn Bunch and Mrs. John Oglesby, all of Tignall, Mrs. Reggie Hilliard of Dearing, Mrs. Cecil Hussey of Bennett, N.C., and Mrs. Steve Raborn of Hephzibah. For the occasion the bride-elect wore a red, white and blue paisley print sundress. She was presented a corsage of a white rose, lavender and ivy. The prospective bridegroom was presented a small lavender and white floral boutonniere. Tables were covered with lavender cloths topped with white lace overlays and centered with arrangements of lavender and white roses and votives candles. Guests enjoyed a delicious assortment of party foods that included a tray of fresh vegetables and dip, chicken salad with crackers, cheese ball and crackers, miniature Pigs- ina Blanket, fruits, nuts, mints, petit fours topped with lavender posies, date nut balls and punch. During the shower guests wrote down their thoughts and advice on marriage. These were presented to the couple.
Celebrating with the couple and hostesses were the bride-elect's mother, Mrs. Crayton Young, and grandmother, Mrs. Charles Young; also, Mrs. Tommy Young, Mrs. Judson Barnwell, Mrs. Paul Nichols, Mrs. Richard Howard, Mrs. Kevin Hopkins, Regina Hilliard, Casey Bunch, Mrs. Zan Bunch, Mrs. Evelyn Rambo and Mrs. Shane Gunter.
