Harrison, Dawson honored at shower on Sat., August 23

Nicki Harrison and Brian Dawson, whose wedding is planned for September 27, were honored at a couple's shower Saturday evening, August 23, at the home of Randy and Mable Tucker. Co-hostesses with the Tuckers were Mark and Angie Thornton and Jack and Laura Leard.

Miss Harrison was presented a white daisy corsage to complement her long floral strapless dress.

The outdoor festivities were held around the pool where tables were covered in white and lighted with candles.

The buffet featured a summer arrangement of black-eyes Susans, purple coneflowers and zinnias. From the buffet guests enjoyed an array of dips with chips and crackers, trays of fresh fruits and vegetables served with dips, and a chocolate fountain.

When the couple marry, their home will become "A House Divided" as he is a Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket and she, a Georgia Bulldog. In keeping with their sports passions, they were presented gifts of a Georgia Tech throw and a Georgia Bulldog pillow from the hosts and hostesses.

Forty-five couples were invited. Special guests included the couple's mothers, Brenda Harrison and EsPembroke ther Dawson, both of Washington
