Linda Starks

Funeral services for Linda Starks, 51, of Washington were held Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at Flint Hill Baptist Church with Rev. William Terrell officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. She died Wednesday, October 1, at her residence.

She was a native of Wilkes County and the daughter of the late Janie Mae Starks and June Taylor.

Survivors include two daughters, Latisha M. Starks Jenkins of Tignall, and Tanisha N. Starks Banks of Washington; a sister, Patricia Ann Gartrell of Washington; a brother, Glenn "Tommy" Starks of Detroit, Mich.; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Jarvis Banks, Willie Cade, Wallace Cullars, James Jenkins, Alphonso Norman, and Marcus Starks.

Davenport-McLendon Mortuary Inc. of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
