Graveside services for Dorothy Taylor Wolfe, 76, of Washington were held Monday, January 12, 2009, at the Washington-Wilkes Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dale Fincher officiating. She died Saturday, January 10, at Heritage Healthcare of Wilkes.

Mrs. Wolfe was a native of Taliaferro County and was the daughter of the late Gray Taylor and Mary Fitz Taylor. She was the widow of Charles Wolfe. She had worked at Almar and was of the Presbyterian faith.

Survivors include a daughter, Jeannie Wolfe of Jasper; two sons, Charles Lyn Wolfe and his wife Nora of Ninety-Six, S.C., and Tommy Wolfe and his wife Georgia of Washington; two sisters, Virginia Taylor Wheless, Washington, and Sarah Frances Taylor Mathis, Norfolk, Va.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
